IQarus Near Space Balloon Launch #1

Off to the stratosphere! Earlier this year, a group of friends, Dan Cook, Nic Kuipers, Zoe Avgoustakis and I designed a payload to travel 30 kilometers in the air using a weather balloon and a butt-load of helium. Finally, after what seemed like forever, it was found by a nice farmer in their paddock in the middle of nowhere. Check out this footage from design to launch.
